Some colleges require the SAT, while others require the ACT. Many scholarships will also require a score.
We recommend that you take all three tests to create the most opportunities available. Students need to prepare for these tests starting as early as possible. They should complete taking each test at least once no later than their junior year. The senior year provides opportunities to raise their scores as much as possible.
PSAT/NMSQT Test Dates
Take the PSAT your sophomore year. Then take the PSAT again your junior year to be eligible for the National Merit Scholarships.
